It's not often I hear myself say this where Mandylicious is concerned, but.... :agree

we couldn't go coz i 'had-to-go-to-a-meeting'.
which was cancelled but no fecker told me!
Ah FFS, I hate tha' :(
But ya wouldn't have enjoyed it - narrow, twisty roads, no traffic, a big lump of fresh cod and, worst of all, a lot of Tossers :blast

Geraldine Hope this cheers you up...

Geraldine I hope you are on the mend.....I have to admit I, like David, didnt know you had come off and hurt yourself until I got home and read the thread. I did however see you hobble a bit at the chipper and wondered if you had cramp or something....Fair play to you for hanging on in there........ What might cheer you up a bit is that when we came thru borris I was maybe 3 from the front and was wishing my turn for marking a turn off would just come and go as quickly a possible (I had never worked the sweeper system before and had only met ye all for the first time on saturday and did'nt want to Fk it up) when it came to my turn to mark a turn I pulled up Chips style....hit the ol hazards and thought to myself.... that wasnt as bad as you thought was it chap... I think 2 bikes turned in by me and I gave them the ol confident wink and I thought ....emmm...piece of piss this........And then nothing.......and a whole lot more of nothing.......turned off the bike....... and still nothing...... took off my lid.......few sheep baaing and nothing....So then I started questioning myself "how the Fk did I mange to Fk up the sweeper system".....I walked over the road... still nothing... looked way up the hill where Jockser had headed.... not a sign.... and I thought I bet everyone took the sweeping turn in the road for Ballymurphy... you dopey, Thick, Fking idiot....you have managed to Fk up the fool proof sweeper system on your first outing with the tossers....... I crossed over the Rd.... contemplated heading onto New Ross and seeing if I could catch up with Jockser... when over the hill I could hear the familiar tucka tucka.... the first GS arrives.... and all the little monkies inside my head settled back down for their afternoon nap... It seemed like ages but was probably only 10 mins..This must have been when you had your tumble near the aqua duct in Borris...... Hope this cheered you up a bit....

It certainly cheered me up. Well written mate ;)
I well remember my first time using the drop-off too
But even now there are times when you're sitting at a junction & you wonder 'am I in the right place' or worse still 'should I have marked that other junction even though, to me, it was clear that the route continued to here'.

Considering that there were a number of first timers the system worked really well :thumb2

I'm still laughing Chap so yes it did the trick
Also as a new comer myself I was terrified and though all the same things you did, and I dropped my bike earlier at my first Drop Off - I was waiting for someone to say it's a drop off system not fall off...

sorry I added to your anxiety but we also had a sheep herding 'expedition' which delayed us. I don't know what the farmer thought of the line of 10+ bikes coming up behind him.

My big dissapointment at present is that the Brian sorted the gear leaver, new lights are ordered, new side panniers fitted, Monday off and not fit to ride the bike yet. But here's hoping..

Geraldine

Well girl glad to hear that you and the bike are on the mend :thumb2 just remember you still need lots of pampering if your on the crutches :P

No really.... Geraldines in great form and she is really looking forward to getting back on her bike.
