hi guys... i am new here.
i am from serbia, so i will need visa to enter marocco and i can get it for a 3 months maximum. but i intend to stay marocco 6 months. does anybody knows something about visa extentions, is it possible to extend 3 months visa for 3 months more?
and also, what about insorance for a car, possible to get it on a entering border for a 3 or 6 months or i can do that for every more month in any town in marocco or it must be done at the border?
thanks..

You only need to post questions once.

EU residents don't need visas but are also limited to three months. Mostly they just cross the border to Ceuta (Spanish territory) and then reenter the same day or the next day.

Obviously this won't work for you as you will either need a new visa or will need to extend it whilst you are still in Morocco. The Moroccan embassy would be the definitive source of information.

You can get insurance when you enter Morocco and should be able to extend it at other places. When you get your insurance ask for the address of other offices.

thank you.
i was little unpatient so i ask same question more times, silly me :-))
in belgrade maroccan embassy thay told me i can extend it in marocco, but i have bad experience with indian governament people, whan thay say it is possible, usualy is not and whan thay say no possible, usualy you can do it.
now, i have a different problem:i am driweing mercedes vito, registered as heavy carryer, is that mean that is a wan, and as a wan can not stay longer than 3 months per callendar year?

If it looks like it is being used as a commercial vehicle then yes, you will be limited to three months, but if you are using it more like a motorhome (wohnmobile) then you should argue for a six month limit.

I had no problems with my Nissan pickup truck.

Ok. that's a good news. i will use it as a motorhome, i have inside a bed, little kitchen set, water tank... so i am pritty sure it will pass for a 6 months. just than monthly insurance will be higher. normal car is about 80 euro for one months, how much is for a motorhome? and, please, one more thing Tim: do i need to make international driveing licence and to translate permit of circulation and ownership document from serbian to french ??
thanks and whan i meet you in Marocco, i owe you a large beer :-))

The insurance is a public liability cover (i.e. doesn't cover your losses) so probably no different cost.

I would imagine Serbian driving licence will be acceptable, certainly no need to do any document translation.

Check out the thread on completing your temporary vehicle importation documents online--it's so much easier than doing it when you are there.

thank you!!
so, it is all actualy so easy and doable and not so complicated. that makes me much more relaxed. thank you one more time for makeing it clear to me. i will start the end of march from Serbia with my two dogs (one of them was already once with me in Marocco). i traveled all aorund the Globe, but flying... this is a first time for me doing an overland trip of this size (i drowe only in Europe) so i am excited to the max :-))
