Hello all, most probably old news…but it appears Jess in service no longer works for this dealership! I visited today to arrange a test ride on their F450G/s demonstrator and Jess wasn’t at her desk. I sent her an email and had an automated reply saying she no longer works for Marshall Motorrad!
Thats a massive blow to Marshall Motorrad.

That's very disappointing and enough for me to look elsewhere to get my TC serviced.
Thanks for the heads up though.

It is most certainly a shame, Jess knew her stuff re warranty and service requirements. Plus she was hands on in the workshop and often stood in when the technicians were away.

“Hello, I have now left the business and have no access to my emails. For anything Motorrad Service related, please contact the showroom on 01472 276666.

Kind Regards,

Jess”

Be good to find out if she's gone to another BMW dealership. Didn't have my bike serviced there but she was ace when I spoke with her..

he must do some creative accounting to keep his turnover below £90k and have a viable business
My turnover is a lot less than the Vat reporting threshold-but manage to scrape by 🤩
Not hard to say no to extra/awkward customers and work

do you have to rent premises, use loads of tools and buy and resell shit loads of oil, consumable and spare parts on top of your wages?

Wages ?
What are they in business?
Minimum wage here
Dodged the question. Do you retail parts and consumables to customers? Does your turnover need to cover renting a workshop, maintenance costs, tool purchase and replacement?

No I don’t

Great service from Rainbow Workshop yesterday

Speaking to the owner - he’s concentrating leisure time in future on his bike and with his wife, next year

Why bust a gut to pay more tax

I only do enough work to live on - usually 1-2 days a week
