Marshall Motorrad Laceby

Had my R1250GSA in for a service today; they were all nice and friendly and even though Gareth is not a biker he seemed pretty knowledgeable and looked after me well. Overall I’m well pleased with Marshalls at Grimsby.

I rang him a couple of days ago to ask a question about some ancillary work during my GSA's upcoming service, he couldn't have been less interested if he tried, to the extent that I'm thinking of cancelling and going elsewhere.

Rainbow Workshop Brigg you will not be disappointed 👍

We use RWH.
Always been good, go the extra mile (sourced me an alternator from the States), local and VAT registered.

Yep, Bruce is very good.

Edit: This is a very good call Dermot as RWH appear to be V.A.T. registered, thank you. I'll get booked in with them and cancel Marshalls.

Lincoln. Just under Pelham Bridge.
They don't have loan bikes but it's only a 10 minute walk to the railway station and there are plenty of cafés and things to see and do in town, including a Triumph dealer a 2 minute walk away.

Each to their own (and please don’t take this the wrong way) but do you really need the mothership warranty?
No offence taken.
I've always had the warranty and as the bike is now 13 years old with over 40,000 miles on it seems appropriate to keep taking it as long as they'll sell it to me (within reason of course).

11 years at £350+

have you had £3850 of repairs paid for by the insurance in that 11 years out of warranty? (Only a 2 year warranty on a bike sold 13 years ago)

Steve's great but sadly not VAT registered so I can't use him as it would invalidate my warranty.
Not being VAT registered is irelavent he uses only BMW parts including oil etc which he buys from BMW which is all you need to satisfy a warranty claim, he may highlight the problem but you have to go through a main dealer. If you don’t believe me call him

Sadly not so. The warranty specifies VAT registered only.

maybe for the BMW warranty provided on a new bike but he does not have a BMW warranty

you have an insurance product not a warranty so the T&Cs will be whatever the underwriter dictates, not BMW

the underwriter appears to be AWP i.e. Allianz Worldwide Partners Property and Casualty SA
