Merino wool base and mid layers

Hi, does anyone have experience of the M&S merino wool base layers? I noticed long sleeve tops and long johns in my local M&S this morning.

Read this thread with interest. I've been a convert to man-made for quite a few years now and avoid natural fibres totally when considering stuff to wear on the bike and when travelling.

Try wearing you synthetic after a week in the summer without washing it......

And that's the reason why I opt for man-made (particularly Rohan) stuff. I prefer to wash the stuff I've worn daily. Most only requires a simple hand-wash (usually done when I'm showering), it dries quickly and packs-down small without ending-up creased to buggery.

So this merino stuff, how easy is it to wash & dry when away from the usual facilities?

got one of the long sleeved vests at crimbo - find it warm and chillproof

I do a lot of mountain biking, and have two or three of these, which I recomend.
