Mesh/Airflow jacket recommendations

I have both the Airman jacket and trousers and without the goretex lining it lets plenty of cool air through. The jacket has a pouch on the back to carry the liner on a hot day if rain is forecast and only flaw I've found so far is that with the trousers you need to decide before you ride whether to use the liner or not....unless you don't mind fighting the liner at the side of the road in your undercrackers. I also have a pair of over trousers but that seems to defeat the object a bit. Oh and for the price Rukka are taking the piss by not including a back protector.

Richa Airstream has D3O armour, removable waterproof layer and removable thermal layer and is only £170. I bought one for a two-week tour of California, Nevada and Utah last month and it coped with below freezing (broke down in Death Valley and rode out through the night) to 30C+. Proper bargain.

I like the Rukka Airman. slightly longer jacket which for me is a bonus as I am over 6' however they are no longer part of the new line. Still, managed to get a new one from FC Moto-shop early this year. Last of the old stock, matching trousers too.
Believe the latest and best from Rukka is now the Airrider. What I do like about the Rukka style is its not exactly straightforward mesh but more a very fine gauze like material which seems to be very tough. At least that's what my Airman is.

I see someone is advertising an AirRider on here for a pretty good price. Might worth taking a look.....?

Thanks Grantmac yep I'll check that out too. Checked out AirRider and AirMan on Revzilla, I like the mid belt adjustment on the AirMan, my winter Rukka doesn't have that and would be a nice feature. Impressed with the Rukka offering - they all look well designed with good features

If you want a cheaper option, I have a Rev'it Airwave and it works well.
+1 :thumb2 for Revitt. I have the Revitt Chayene full mesh suit . Used it in Africa and Thailand . Very well made , with a lot of features. Just try it 1st though , as the sizing can be tricky !

I really struggle in the heat and have tried various mesh jackets. The best I have found is the Halvarssons Flux which is around £230. Top quality and more pockets than many mesh jackets. I wore this on my 4 week tour of New Zealand and was really pleased. It does not have any liners but I wear a thin EDZ liner when cold and have a waterproof over jacket when wet. Job done!! A lot of people I know rate Halvarssons kit generally, nearly as highly as Rukka - but it is around half the price. Absolutely top quality and I have never had a problem with any of their suits.

Thanks Chris - quick google for sellers almost draws a blank - where did you purchase from?

I have bought all my Halvarssons kit from Motolegends - very easy to deal with and they should show up on a google search. Surprised if they did not show?? They carry a pretty full range of their kit.
