Metal lumps in oil

Just changed the oil and filter on the 1150GS (01) and noticed some small aluminium lumps in the previously clean white drain tray afterwards.
Bike has done 70,000 miles approx (6000 in last 5 weeks) and rattles pretty good on start up.
I am thinking a chain may be rubbing on the casing somewhere, any ideas ?

possibly, its a bit hard to tell, it goes within a second of starting and is then quiet.
