After 13,500 Kms on OEM Michelin Anakee 3's I went for for my first ride on new Metzeler Tourance Next's. The difference between the two is quite stunning and definitely favours the Metzelers, particularly with regards to noise. The whining, rumbling and general noise on 95% of road surfaces with Anakees has gone. Moreover the ride is noticeably smoother and more compliant with pin sharp handling. I am impressed.
Have yet to really test the grip whilst scrubbing the new tyres in and it was a little damp today up high in the mountains, but first impressions are very favourable. I'll report back next time out with grip impressions.
