hpi will show up ANY claim made against the bike at all, thats why there is different cattergories, cat d for example could be a dropped bike just cosmetic damage, cat c its had a bad smash and b its a non repairable job salvage only, dont quote me as im not an expert BUT if you come to sell the bike on or trade it in it will be worth less that an equivalent model that has not had a claim against it, a lot of dealers will not touch it at all if its hpi positive
i bought a zr750 a few years ago , it was a streetfighter and looked great but it was not practical at all, took it to a dealer to part ex and they said sorry but its had a claim against it and would not touch it, happened at a couple of places
