Can anyone show me a pic of the migsel lightbar on an 1150GS shown from underneath or to the side, just wondering how far from the forks they are when fitted.

Plenty of space dont worry.

But if you are still concerned do a quick search as someone else asked the same question just a few days ago?

do you want to know cos u are making a copy,if u are ,remember that when the forks are compressed, they go forward slightly giving less clearance

I should have mentioned that originally I guess :blast

I just love a challenge, and also a tight git :augie

My experience was somewhat different and left this result. I've since taken a grinder to the bar...

Was that a MkI or MkII version though?

I was aware that the MkI bars had some clearance issues, as like you, my first 1150 suffered the same problem.

But I have never heard of any problems with the later version, and that was introduced early 2004 from memory?? But I'm sure that Michel will be along in a while to clear it up for us.

I don't know what Mk it was.. I believe it to be a Migsel bar, but I got it second hand from here.

I'm not trying to have a go at anybody or anything, but obviously its important to check the clearance - luckily I view the bike as a tool for riding so another war wound does dis-stress me.

This is the Mk2 and there is loads of clearance..

Yes its dirty yet I have rusty washers & no I don't care.:augie:D

if u make 1 just remember to compress the forks on full lock an check

thx for the photo's guys, just what I was after. I presume the Mk2 has the curved section for more clearance.

Was looking on migsel's site and I see they are 70 euro's, can you get them in the Uk and how much ??

PS I like those rusty washers, they look like gold :-)

Pay the 70 Euros, cheap at the price and well worth the money, stainless steel too, so no rust problems............. ever!

Hi guys, there's not much for me to add here I see,
thanks for the clear explanation :thumb2

The light bars were straight from one side to the other first.
Those were the ones that could create issues.

With the curved ones (MKII) as they are now, there has never been a problem.

Cheers,
Michel

If you prefer, a cash deal is possible as well, with a small discount :aidan
Send me a note if you're interested in that.
Cheers,
Michel
