Can't for the life of me find the post, but someone had misplaced their MapSource disks and was about to buy an SPIII to get copies.

Don't!!!!

Just off the phone to Garmin Europe, and they'll send out a new set of disks with the older version of City Navigator FOC.

Absolutely, positively, smashing bunch of peeps :thumb

Yep i know of people who have done that Garmin are pretty good like that. They seem to have always helped my friends out well but i've never really had any major problems to get help from them thankfully.

They were helpful when I bought a used Nav 2 and it had the wrong disks, they sent me Mapsource CD's and unlock code free of charge. Nice people. I had to make a copy of the separate BMW installer CD from a mate to get it to install though as it doesn't install from CD 1, be warned.

Wizard - every time we post on the same thread, I seem to contradict you. I haven't got a vendetta against you - honest. :D

But ... I think the post you're referring to said that he was thinking of buying a cheap SPIII to get the latest City Navigator maps - not the Mapsource program which you can upgrade for free on the Garmin site.

garmin great service

battery cover broke on my budget i3, sent them an email, they posted me a new one, arrived today. thanks garmin :thumb nick
