MityVac brake bleeder

Has anyone got one ?

Looking at one that will do my bikes and old porkers as well.
The 8000 model looks ok for bikes but may struggle with a car.
Anyone own one or something similar ?
I fancy the vacuum system rather than pressure from the reservoir end.

Not sure they'll do ABS systems ?

On my old Porsche I used one of those pressure bleeders that you attach to a tyre and attach a brake fluid lid. Pumps the fluid through, and did a really good job on my Porsche.

But mine was a hairy arsed old model, no ABS or power steering etc. Unlike the later poofter versions.

I've got hairy arse old ones (porsche) and ABS as well so I'm trying to get a kit that will do it all if possible for bikes and cars ( with and without ABS)
Just thinking that Mityvac 8000 might be hard going with a car on the trigger work.

Used my mityvac on both cars (Honda CRV with abs) and bikes (gs, rt with abs, 1100s without). No problems on any of them. Not tried it on a servo abs set up though. Isnt the mityvac aimed at cars anyway?

There's loads of models, which one is yours ?
I dont want a pressure IN from the reservoir end, but rather a vacuum / suction from the bleed nipple end .

I use a draper vacuum bleeder, that connects to the compressor, that and a rather large syringe make light work of doing anything in bleeding systems,

even with a vacuum bleeder, its sometimes better to force the fluid back through to the master cylinder, especially on car clutches

MV8000. Its described as an AUTOMOTIVE tester and sucks not blows. Easily capable of bleeding abs car brakes as well as bikes.

I used a big (100ml?) syringe and bit of plastic tube to suck the fluid through on my GS brakes (non-servo) when I replaced the pipes. Seemed to work OK and didn't cost anything

Easy to do on a bike without ABS, but im trying to cover ABS bikes and cars as well. Also the vacuum. system allows for a one an job. It's just choosing the best between cost and quality to cover it.

I have a Mityvac which is fine for bleeding brakes on all systems but has to be constantly pumped.

I also have a Sealey brake bleeder which has to be used with a compressor.

The best device I have for bleeding brakes is the Pela 6000 Engine Oil Change Extractor Pump 6ltr.

I originally bought it for sucking oil out of sumps through the dipstick tube without having to remove the sump plug. It is great for changing the oil on my K1200S. Sucks it straight out of the oil tank without any messing about. I have also adapted it to vacuum fill the coolant system on the K1200S.

Yes I have one of those as well, better than a hand pump for sure, can also be used to suck fuel out of a tank, useful tool!

Cheers, I've ordered the pela 6000, although a slightly different design as its like a globe but still got the 6 litre capacity.
Should make brake and clutch fluid changes more of a one man job I hope.
BMW want 70 quid for a brake fluid change! Now I don't mind paying for a service but that's ripping the you know what a bit!
