Just thought I'd let people know about a mobile tyre fitter in the S.Wales area.
I got back from a ride yesterday on my Rockster (yeah, so what am I doing on this site?) and when cleaning the bike I noticed two horrendous looking...to me, anyway...indentations or depressions on the centre of my rear tyre. I pressed them with my nail and they were as soft as a partially inflated balloon. Each depression was about 2 - 3 inch long and about 1/8th inch wide, in line, in the centre of the tread. Looks like a fault in the making of the tyre.
I rang Rydale first thing today because at the moment my bike is my only form of transport. I desperately needed the tyre changed today. Craig advised me not to ride the bike to them because the tyre sounded so dodgy and so he gave me the number for a mobile tyre firm they use sometimes.
I rang them up, they're based in the Newport area I think, and all I've got is praise for their service. He arrived about 2pm at my door and was gone in an hour, two new tyres fitted and at a good price. Not a chip in the paint on the wheels (which is a first for any of my bikes' tyre changes) and the wheels and tyres cleaned up afterwards. I may be more used to greasemonkeys but this service is superb.
The company is MG's mobile tyre fitters, Mark Goodman is the chap, and their telephone numbers are 01633 672199 or 07765573025.
Nope, I'm not on their payroll and I'm not related. I'm just chuffed to bits with their service!!!!!
