Mods to do on a GS LC

If you have a triple black then you have the better BMW Exclusive seats and not the regular ones. I bought the exclusive seats for my GS and really like them

I think that's only on the regular GS, on the GSA I think it's just a normal adventure seat. Annoying.

OK, I have Machineart Avant/Mudsling back and front and a full size ciggy lighter outlet mounted near the battery for tyre pump duties. Being relatively 'compact' (height-wise) compared to autogs, I find the standard screen one of the best I've had on any bike. Standard exhaust makes a nice level of noise with earplugs in without getting on my tits too much on longer days. Seat is OK, but not as all-day good for me as the standard seat on the Tiger 1050 my GS replaced. I have a bespoke rear wheel fling guard fitted on the LHS pillion foot rest hanger. Now, only the back of my left boot and ankle gets covered in road shit; not my left arse cheek and everything from there down to my ankle, now. If BMW had not been giving away Nav V when I bought mine, I would have nailed my trusty Zumo 550 on.

When I put a lithium battery into my 2016 the automatic driving light stopped working and the low beam stayed on all the time. No issues with the Shorai?

fredaroony;

Regarding your post:

"The BMW Enduro pegs are very good and are made by Gilles. They dont pivot though..."

Perhaps you've mounted them wrong as they certainly do pivot !

Hey .....Fred the standard ones must be shockingly bad then? .... I've done 11,000 miles on my 2016 TB and the (exclusive?) seat is "mediocre" at best .....

PS The Pegs in #26 are very sought-after ....

Quick question , sorry for the thread creep... Could you kindly post a pic ? I've struggled with this because there is so little room under the seat or around the battery for a PDM60. I'd like to mount a full size ciggy outley too....

Standard ones are ok and I didn't think much of the Exclusive seats until I did a big trip. I did several 10-11 hours days with no issue and I've done 15,000klms with them so far.

Not at all, I'd like to see that as well

Ciggy outlet has a flat mounting bracket. Bit of old innertube around the frame then cable it tied it on. Wired back to the battery with a fuse. I also sealed the back of it with silicone when the wiring exits. The other pic is my bespoke rear wheel fling preventer. It could do with being a bit longer to stop the back of my left boot and ankle getting covered in crap. I lovingly crafted it from one side of an empty 5L screenwash jug. The exhaust does the job well on the RHS.

I've spotted this on Amazon which I'm tempted to 'upgrade' to. :thumb2

Surely these would ground out way before the standards , are these just a farkle too far as the standards pegs are fine .

I don't find the standard pegs fine. I want them to be longer. My RH foot instep rests on the end of the peg and it gets uncomfortable after a few hours. I can't rest my foot on it any other way without twisting my leg unnaturally (for me).
