Hey Moon, been following your thread with great interest as I'll be arriving there very soon. How have you found the issue of securing your bike over night? Has it really been an issue or is there always a simple solution to hand? Just curious if its even a concern.

How's it going.....left Essaouira and headed to Zagora.... Fantastic trip over mountains although 35.5 in Zagora....found a place who could supply a tyre and said it would be here next day..couldn't tell me how much till it arrived..!!! We buggered off into Sahara and stayed overnight with local Bedouin in tent....absolutely amazing....anyway, got back next day and tyre had arrived...3200 dirhams....dream on I said...down it came to 2500...no thanks said me ..so, I'm now in Erfoud on same tyre..bit bald in centre so if ta see a gsa on long straight road weaving from side to side to try and use edge of tyre...yup, that's me.. Heading for checheouen today....
Will do a write up when home.... Must say, all people we have met have been brill and so helpful.....
Enjoy ya last few days and catch up later...
I'm gonna come back when it's cooler ! (Oct if anyone interested).

Was mid 30's when we were in zagora and using 40 in desert.... We went out in a land cruiser and came across a Dutch guy in a buggy type thing. He had run out of water and was very lucky we found him.... In middle of night we had a sand storm and wind so strong it blew our tent (like a garden shed) door open and it was like someone chucking buckets of sand in....I couldn't push door back as wind was so strong.. They have nothing in the desert but they made me a birthday cake out of sand and used sugar cubes to decorate it.... I'll save you a piece..!!! Fantastic people.
