Morocco-Algeria

Hi

A friend is riding Durban to Dublin (Smashie voice on : fer charridy : Smashie voice off) and hopes to go via Egypt Tunisia Algeria to Morocco, then North.

I'm not sure this is possible at present - am I correct in thinking the border Algeria/Morocco is shut? It was last year when we tried hard not to stray too far East from Erfoud.

Morocco - Algeria border

According to a recent post on this forum http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/sahara-travel-forum/ it is shut, and likely to be so for a while.

He'll probably have to go Tunisia Sicily and North or North West South if he's dead set on Morocco.
