Funny how just about every trip report that involves the Santander ferry has a airlift incident.

Nice report and photo's. I was there when the autumn rains lashed last year. Nearly got stuck down there, as all the roads North from the Sahara were flooded or washed out. We got thru by hiring a truck to carry the bikes pulled by a tractor to get us over 1km wide floods which were up to 4ft deep on the road. It was interesting !.
