Hi All,

Has anyone on here got any feedback about the Motad header pipes. They are £200 compared to £300 (approx figures) for the Remus ones. It's a considerable saving & I wondered if the Remus ones offered much more for the extra money.

Cheers then

last stainless motads i got were v good:thumb2, not for a 12, tho

Crikey, the last time I bought a Motad system was back in the early 80s :rob but they were well made even back then.

Someone needs to fit these headers and report on them for the benefit of the group. How about everyone clubs together to buy me a set and I'll let you know what they're like :nenau

You can get new Remus pipes for not a lot over £200 if you shop around :thumb2

Academic as of now

... Best price on Remus £275 shipped ... erm ... and the lambda sensors are still in the wrong place. Out of UK hours calling from overseas, so I'm restricted to internerd and don't get much 'haggle' space.

... You can find the Motad for a gnats under £200. :D
... Now I've built the bling list :yikes there's a modest imperative to save some brass where possible :tears

... Therefore a set of Motads have just been ordered on-line from intobikes.co.uk for £192.50 shipped. They should be waiting and ready to fit when I pick the new bike up in a couple of weeks.

... Running-in to deal with first, but I can't see there's going to be a much of a difference in 'turbo-boost' between these and the Remus once the cat has been despatched with.

... However que sera sera etc, feedback and hopefully lots of juicy snap, crackle and pop will be forthcoming in May

... Now for the Akrapovic! :D

The Remus headers can be got for a lot cheaper than you quote - but not advertised on line. The lambda sensors were in the right place on my bike............they fitted a treat:thumb2

Hi I seem to have Motad headers not Remus as I first thought and they work really well, inproved the accelleration throughout the rev range.

... The holes fit :blast, but one or two amongst the assembled have commented how the Remus forward positioning seems to stretch the sensor cables tight.

... Good to know ... erm ... after I've whacked the ol' plastic :aidan

Good news, matey. Any chance of a pic? I know they probably look the same as the Remus ones, but just out of curiosity...:thumb

Yep - they're tight, but not over tight once *fully* assembled. Certainly not a reason not to buy Remus.

I did look at the Motard headers. Looking at the pictures I thought they weren't the oversized tubing as with the Remus (I might be wrong). Considering resale value, I'd hope to get a good price for 2nd hand Remus when I've finished.

Either way - you're best off ditching the stock, so you can't go wrong either way :D

I hope I'm not stating the obvious here but I wonder if people experiencing tightness with their holes ()have disconnected the sensor wiring or twisted it before fitting to allow for screwing it into the header?

JUst asking as I saw one install where the owner (not a Tosser BTW) had just screwd the sensors in and the wiring was at breaking point.

Sorry cannot post pictures but if you look in my previous post fitting remus Y piece you will see a post withpics of Remus and Motad hope this helps Nag.

I've tried all the usual on-line places. Where do you recommend for an off-line quote?

Many thanks
