Motech bars and remus headers (08)

Anyone got motech engine bars AND remus headers on an 08?

Just tried to fit the engine bars and the O2 plug is in the way on the left.
Is there a solution?

Never had a problem with SW Motech or TT bars on my previous bike but have found issues with headers on the 08 on the left side "sensorwise" with BMW engine bars fitted.

Was able to solve it by contacting the guy who made the headers and having the sensor mount moved but can't see that working with Remus.

It's only when things like this occur that you realise the new engine is not physically identical to the old, something I found when I removed the bash plate and noticed the adapter bracket that has been installed.

I'm guessing your going to have to decide which you can live without. Remus headers or Motech bars?

No contest there - I'll see if I can get a refund on the bars otherwise they're going on fleabay

Remus vs Motech

I have a 2005 GS and found exactly the same! SW Motech crash bars won't fit with the Remus headers!

Any good alternative crash bars that any one can suggest?

Hi I have just fitted a set of Hepco and Becker engine bars to my 03 1150 twin spark with no problems and they look good too.
got them from motorworks.com..
