Just transferred a working M/ board from one ATX box to another, as soon as I switch the mains power on the board powers up, I've changed the powerpack, same problem still occurs, took the M/board out of the box onto bench and connected to powerbox and it still powers up even though the power switch frame connector isn't connected, I'm now stumped any advice gratefully received.

Some BIOS allow for power on after a power cut - maybe the BIOS has reset somehow.

The Boot screen should tell you what to press (F2, Del or whatever) to get into BIOS settings.

Clive yer a fecking genius, the board was still out of the box so I just took the battery out for a couple of seconds and replaced it which I believe is another way of resetting the bios to default settings, anyway it's stopped powering up. I'll find out when I put it back together tomorrow if it's still working:thumb2
