Motobatt - battery fit

Interesting mix of comments. I've be using the bike and I think (so far) that because everything else is in good shape, I'm squeezing out a first time start each time. But the colder it is, the slower it is and just when I think it's not going have enough, it fires up,every time . Not sure how long it'll play ball though.

Right now, I'm thinking to get a motobatt. The double connections look handy.

Hi
I've had a Motobatt MB51814 fitted to my 2001 1150 GS (single spark, non-ABS) for the past 5 years or so. It fits in the battery tray no problem.
Great batteries:thumb2

Maybe time to give the starter an overhaul :thumb

I was a bit dubious about Motobatt batteries when I bought the first one a few years back for my Suzuki GSX1100 katana with big bore kit and tuned head (standard battery really struggled ), as I had never heard of them .

Supplying dealer was happy to tell me if it doesn't start the bike bring it back and we will give you a refund , yes it is kept on charge on a proper AGM charger but it always starts the bike first time , even after a winter lay up and about 6 years later it is fine.

I was impressed and when the CCM's battery failed last winter I was happy enough to replace the bikes Yuasa battery with a Motobatt one.
