Have used 'Bins, 'Works and Sherlocks in equal quantities for many years and found all three excellent.

I've always found motoworks the most expensive, and sherlocks the fastest delivery time . IMO
After my RT mirror got damaged today I phoned South London BMW to order a new one, I phoned 4 times to be precise and each time the parts bloke is busy. It's been like this a while now, short staffed apparently, seeing as Darren has left.
So I called Motorworks, no answer.
Called Sherlocks, answered immediately and mirror in post for tomorrow.
Sherlocks get my vote too

sherlocks - because if i email them from here - i get an immedeate personal response and an advertised price minus the VAT ( cos its going abroad ) and it arrives in 5 days.

"works" verus "bins" !!
Until recently, these 2 outfits seem to be watching each others catalogues and undercutting each others prices by a few pence.(Now though, i think bins prices have gone up somewhat)
Just done complete rebuild on GS, and found sherlocks cheaper than both.Motorworks dont always have the bits in but are usually pretty good at getting them, Bins/sherlocks always seem to have them in.All are good/quick at delivery times.
Ps . .I had a breakdown right outside Motoworks, a few years ago admittedly, a puncture I think.They watched me struggle, in the pissing rain, trying to get the wheel out etc without an offer of help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also remember that you can call in at "Bins" anytime, motoworks are mail order only or by previous arrangement re visit.

Been using bins for years.
Going to the 'local' dealer .. well they usually have to order it in .. so order on Sat for Sat .. fax bins any day of the week and you get it in the letter box next week .. and I don't have to travel 10 km there, back, there again and back again ...
Looking at replacing the K alternator brushes (as the start motor ones worn out ... I wonder how far the alternator ones are behind it) ... looks like the same brushes are used in the bm cars .. the 'local' care warehouse (that distributes parts to the car places) is only 2 km away [Wicks rd Ryde Martin].. and they take the bm motorcycle club card as discount (unlike the motorcycle dealer!!!!). Might be cheapest/easiest there!
