Motorcycle insurance for a company (ltd) owned bike

That, depending on the make / model and value of the bike and / or where you live might well be a problem, quite separate to whether it is owned by a company or you.

Just out of interest, why are you going down the route of having the vehicle owned by a company?
Tax deductable expense

It won’t be if you can’t buy insurance.

Might it not be easier to own the vehicle conventionally (ie. registered in your name) to at least start building some ‘No claims bonus’.

Most Motor insurance in the UK operates at the lowest level of mass demand. That is: Joe Soap, with a standard vehicle, registered to his home address. Some bods even struggle at this most basic of levels, but hey-ho. In other words, you (with your zero no claims bonus and a motorcycle - make / model / value unknown - registered to a company) do not fit into that tidy box.

You’ll very probably get nowhere online. This means you’ll probably need the services of a specialist broker, not a chimp in a call centre. Try:

Principal Insurance
Howden Insurance
Lexham
Heritage

Note; These names are perhaps most often associated with ‘Classic’ or ‘Special Build’ (ie. Nonstandard) vehicles. But, with luck, one or more of them might have enough imagination to help you.

Good point, thank you. I'll try them.

Indeed they are completely separate.

The V5 is the responsibility of the government’s DVLA department.

The insurance of the vehicle is the responsibility of an insurance company. The only government interest in the insurance is that the vehicle must be insured to go on the road.

And insurance tax…

A bit late to the party here, but suggest it’s worth a try with Hastings.
