Motorcycle security when away from home

Thanks for the £10 link on the Litelok range - anyone know if its historically cheaper at the bike show?

They are free, but only to the first three entrants through the doors, clutching a copy of the Radio Times.

Really, if you are wanting to secure your motorcycle, do you want to wait to (possibly) save another tenner?

I haven’t added them up but it looks like 1500 - 2000 bike thefts in a year.

How many arrests?
How many trials?
How many found guilty?
How many serving time?

Last numbers I saw were less than 6% of all recorded crime saw a trial.

And we’re paying for this in our insurance premiums.

Time we demanded better?

How. ?

Dunno. Petitions seem popular. Do you think there are 100,000 bikers in the UK that would sign up?

Do you think it would do any good if there were?

I shall write to my MP. It’s not hard, and it raises their awareness of the issue. If every tosser did the same, we’d probably get most, if not all of them.

It rather puts the lie to: “Well I lives in sleepy Dorset and I don’t never lock my bike ‘cos thieves don’t live here” that we hear so often on these pages. A bike a day, apparently.

What was the source of these figures, please?

The fundamental problem that we're dealing with... is the advent of wokery. The Police line will be, that bike theft is covered by your insurance... so we'll issue a crime number so that you can fill in the forms... then await the payout.

There's no way that a simple petition will change wokery... it's now part of our culture... and culture, famously, is a generational change thing. Don't forget, that all this started under Blair... and no government to date has done anything to reverse it.

You'll need to await the next general election for any hope of change....

As Kathy Burke said, “I’d rather be woke than a dozy twat”, and if by being “woke” it means understanding and avoiding racial prejudice, I’d say it’s a good thing.

But returning to the question at hand, what’s “woke” about a police force and justice system that doesn’t ( effectively) combat crime ? I really can’t say when it became apparent to me that “law and order” felt like they were somehow slipping away, it might have been Blair, or before. It’s certainly not a new problem created by the present incumbents of Downing St & Parliament.

I have a £50 off single use voucher for litelock when you spend over £100.

If anyone wants it in return for £25 my way, let me know.

Do-gooders create far more crime in the UK than we're actually aware; no deterrents, the cancellation of real deterrents is a snowball effect for far more crime. Yes, politics is everything, and the political powers have been getting it wrong for decades now. Hopefully a new single-minded generation who aren't poisoned by the current elite can make the change.

Nope darling but a little bit of noise at 140 DB surprises even the hard core bast***
