Hi folks......
From personal experience, it's hard for me to imagine a bike dealer exceeding my expectations.....but once again Motorrad Central in Glasgow have done so, in spades.........
As most of you will know my 4 month old 1200GS was stolen overnight Sunday/Monday from my garage in Edinburgh.........
After the dust settled and the police departed, I was left to ponder over another bike-less holiday in just 10 days time and a considerable wait of several weeks if not months for a replacement to arrive......which would mean a new bike arriving in the depths of a Scottish winter......bollox........
MC's dealer principal, John Dillon, took the trouble, on his day off, to contact me with the consoling news that he had not one, but two new R1200GS on the premises........RESULT!!!!
Wandered over there today, did the business & also ordered a shed (garage?) load of replacement accessories as well.......all of which will be delivered to Chez Dutch on Friday........(Scummies Note:Razor wire, machine gun posts, land mines & a few other goodies await ANY of you fekkers who try and steal from me again.........
Prepare to be amazed folks, our spare set of GS panels are already at the paint shop being finished in yet another uniquely stunning colour scheme, and accessory suppliers the world over are busy shipping replacements for all my toys.......
All things being equal, my 4th 1200GS in 16 months will be ready to roll next week.........just in time for our six day trip to Normandy.......
Thanks John, and Russ, and Clive and Tracey, and Blair and Jenny and all those fine folk at Bennetts Insurance for going the extra mile to get me back on two wheels in double quick time!!
Cheers
