MOUNTAIN TRAIL RIDE Sunday 24th November 2007

Bogathon!

What a day!

Can't remember in my 30 years of off-roading to work so hard to get round so little distance! 35 miles in a day!

Fantastic off-roading at its best. I thought I had been velcro'd to the bed this morning - really struggled to get up.

Big thanks to all of the team yesterday, partic. to Tim for picking such an 'interesting' route and for Timpo making sure we all got through (and for almost blowing up my bike! Although I did run him over earlier in the forrest... ).

So glad I was on a lightweight bike, those of you out there with 650's et al - don't even think of doing this route!:D

Until the next one....

Cheers, Rick

ps. Forry, you would have hated it...

So we'll put your name down for the Return to the Mountain on New Years day stop smoking special :eek

Looks like pure misery!

....Photos and write ups are great guys - keep em coming!
That Bwlch y Groes looks tough indeed. Did you leave any of the trail behind? or did most of it come home on the bikes?

Laughing at the vids here!

(I wanna go back, I wanna go back :tears)

Rick did it boil?
Did Timpo have his tea bags with him? :augie
Mine's up and running now it just remains to be seen for how long:blast

I'm going to resist it for a while yet, but when I eventually see sense and get a lightweight, can you let me know when you're doing that route again? :clap

I am assuming that the south run avoids that place:eek:, you know where;)

It does but reckon we could eat 'that place' for beakfast now

:eek::hide

Spout we'll let you know when, I doubt it'll become a weekly ride and you'd love it:thumb2

Jim tries to spruce up a pine to pass it off as himself, so he can slip off back to Penmachno to hide in the pub. Unlucky Jim, it looked feck all like you!:blast

Timpo.
:rob Nah - I just thought it might make a better job of it than me. Just when you think you're doing OK some bloke on a 3rd world moto crosser turns up and shows you how its done. Anyone know of a Honda C90 for sale?

Thanks to all those who I cadged a fag off of, picked me up - took a turn at kicking my bleeding bike or told me " This is only a quarter the way up yet".

Cheers all, it was great fun - in the end!:beerjug:

Hey Tim, if you're planning a run out for the Rallye bike anytime soon, I'd love to come and try the 640 out......:bounce1:bounce1:bounce1

Now there's a an idea, I'll see if RickA wants to come out on his 640 and maybe others with bigger trailies.

Were you thinking mid week or a weekend?

Big Trailie run

Count me in chaps as long as it's not my weekend with the kids.

Midweek is great for me but I think Mark's weekends free are opposite to mine :blast

Keep me posted.

Cheers, Rick.

Weekends up to xmas, then got 2 weeks off. Taken too many days off this year, and I have two coming up. I can sometimes manage a day on the weekends I have the kids though, depends on what they are doing.

Now you're talking! You've been having too much fun on those little tiddlers of late ;)

Popped my Bwlch Y Groes cherry this weekend :clap

Just looking at those photos brings me back out in a sweat
What a superb b*stard it is

Can't wait til the aches and pains recede and I get some movement back and can feed and dress myself again :thumb

Just glad I didn't ever try it on a GS :green gri
