I've taken the Zumo 660 off my 1150 and want to use it on my 1200GSA, mounted on the higher bar behind the screen. I've got the standard wired Garmin mount that came with the 660 and a Ram arm.

Will a Ram mount with U-bolt be sufficient to hold the unit in place? Also, will a 7/8in U-bolt do the job or is that too wide?

Thanks chaps,

Having had a hunt around on the www I've ordered an SW Motech gizmo that's designed for the screen support bar on the 1200 GSA and takes a Garmin GPS cradle.

I phoned my local BMW bike dealer for advice on the BMW part but they were vague about if it would fit and I didn't fancy an 80-mile round trip only to come home empty handed!

Thats about right for most dealerships, you have to tell them what is avaliable and even find it on there parts screen for them.
I can assure you that the part I talked about is a BMW part that is used to attach the Nav iv to the GSA screen bar and will also fit all Garmin mounts.

This is what I'm talking about (number 1) on a parts fiche

I have had to tell BMW parts guys where to look for things almost everytime I gone to buy extras from them.
