Boys at NOG have done me again, just went in for some warranty work for my SE and come out with a 2011 GSA!!

Damn I am so weak willed.

Suggest you put it back before they notice.....

or congratulations if that's more appropriate

LOL, nice one...

Picking it up next week sometime, should be a laugh, new motor seems nice, smooth and torquey. So looking forward to the world of GSA ownership!:)

They should be reported for this, it's nothing else but 'the hard sell'. I booked my GSA in for a 24000 mile service a couple of years ago and they made me buy a new one by being nice and offering me a good deal!

It will be due again soon and I'm scared to go back and book it in!

You're not weak willed really, it's just that all GS owners actually long for a GSA :augie;)

Yes I think you might be right.... But where do I go from here.... Apart from 350 miles without having to fill up!!! :)

What deals are out there? Is everyone paying list prices? or squeezing their dealer? Really interested in prices GSer's are paying for thier GSA's

Keith :aidan

Most BMW dealers will tell you that there's no deals to be had and very little movement in the price. However a lot of people seem to get deals so I think you just need to push hard. My dealer wouldnt take anything off the cost price but gave well over book for each of the two bikes I traded in and effectively saved over 1k on a new GSA with all the options. They are throwing in free panniers in at the mo.

Was it a 1200 GS SE and, if so, would it represent a good used buy ? Any problems with it ? How much did they give you for it (IYDMMA) :augie ?

I think in the end they are giving me around 8.5k for it, which I am happy with it did have a few miles on the clock, needed new discs, and few other bits...

I loved it, only changed because the mileage was going up and therefore value going down.... Also wanted the big tank of GSA so I do not have to fill up so often....

Had a few issues but never let me down and always sorted by NOG so no complaints at all.

wow, you must ride like your trousers are on fire!
i get 240 miles from my 2006gs (with only slight smouldering)

I guess that depends on how much they run their tank down before they fill up. A mate of mine used to complain he only got around 100miles out of his tank on a SV1000, but he was only using 10litres and so could've got nearly double that. He said he always got nervous he was going to run out :blast

living dangerously

your right about that, i trust my gauge & regulary run the tank down to single digit miles remaining and often put 20litres in to brim it-life on the edge :cool
