MT-09 Tracer.....

MT09 Tracer owners...with heated grips...does your throttle have big play when rolling it? Mine seems to be about 8mm when rolling and it also moves sideways - about 2mm. I think the addition of heated grips made it that loose, as I don't recall this on demo bike I was riding month ago.

Just been and checked mine (has got heated grips) it has about 1mm of sideways movement but none when rolling it on/off, hth :thumb2

thx. I've already asked dealer to come back to me on that one.

Only smoke pav, you have only had it for a couple of hrs and already you nearly wrote it off ! That go-pro is worth its wait in gold, she ain't getting out of it, you was lucky .

Hi Dave. I was lucky indeed, so as bike! I'll be taking it to dealer to check if only headlamp needs replacing ( left side glass has 4cm scratch marks, but it's not cracked and it doesn't move in any direction). Forks and wheel seems to be untouched.

95 quid GoPRO Hero saved me from hassle, as when I asked her what she thinks of this, she said that "it is too early to discuss it!", so I replied that I think I have it recorded on my GoPRO ( wasn't sure if battery lasted that long!)....this morning before I managed to walk in to the office, Admiral Insurance called me informing that their client admitted full liability for the accident and that they will be arranging repair...

This will obviously leave category on my bike and stigma on my renewal in 3 months time, so I will have to disclose this and premium will go up a bit...

it will only leave a "category" on it if it's an economic loss. if that is the case you should get a new bike. the object is to leave you in the position you were before the accident.

premium should not go up at all.

It will not leave any category mark on your bike at all, but no doubt your insurance will go up when you disclose the accident.

don't think I could ask for new bike if only headlamp is scratched, could I?

so when there is mark on the vehicle? I thought that any insurance funded repair leaves mark on vehicle? As for premium, this is what I was getting on "go compare" sites, when making quotes with or without disclosing non-fault collision.

Your premium may not go up - mine didn't. My claim was for nearly 10k about 7 years ago
Similar incident to yours in that the other party failed to give way at a roundabout. I was also injured and had to have surgery for a broken wrist.
All costs plus damages were recovered from the other party's insurance by the appointed solicitors (who were excellent) and the driver was also given a written warning by the police for driving without due care.
It was recorded on my insurance records as a no fault claim and it hasn't loaded my premiums since (in fact they went down!).
Might be worth checking and good luck with getting the bike fixed :thumb2

I too had a non fault collision in the car nearly 5 years ago ( rear ended). I used a company called Crash Services who are an accident management firm (not ambulance chasers). They were brilliant, they claimed direct off the other parties insurance and I didn't have to shell out on my excess. So my insurance was left out of the loop and my company was given a 'for information only' notification. The only ball breaker is you do have to declare that you've had a non fault accident for a period of x years, but my insurance has never gone up because of this.

Found these pictures of Givi offering for Tracer. It looks like they going for aluminium plate for their SR2122 arms. I also found that UK givi website is showing price for it - £50.20

I think it looks good (plate almost on pillion seat level). I wouldn't got for 56L box. I'm contemplating B33NMK or V47NNT.

Are Givi doing Monokey fitment for the Tracey ?

If so then the Trekker boxes would look good .

I have this on my KTM and I think it would suit the Tracey !!

they are doing it. I was told racks(arms) should be available next week. You will be able to put any plate you like
