MUDSLING OR REAR HUGGER

What do you think is best , pros and cons of each please.

I've tried both, and IMHO the Mudsling is the better option.

I had a very expensive carbon hugger at first. It was quite effective at keeping the shock clean, but i was still getting a wet left buttock.
It also used to rattle a lot. which was very annoying.

The mudsling is a much more effective solution.

Maier mudsling for me and Touratech side panels make a huge difference in keeping the crap off your legs aswell.

Fenda extender on the front keeps the front cover clean but my topbox gets dirty because i've removed the 'possum scraper' from the real wheel......This has served no real purpose whatsoever but it makes you look hard and I like the sh*tkicker look.....!

I've never used a hugger as i'm on gravel/farm roads with TKC80's and thought the clearance would be a bit tight!

Yup, mudsling is spot on. There's an even better one now, but last years version has been great at protecting the rear shock and battery on my bike.

Another vote for the Mudsling. Top bit of kit.

A GS is a rufty tufty go anywhere bike, so a hugger does not look right. (And it would be no good in all the mud when you get to Siberia )

Swapped hugger for mudsling, neither seem to stop the GS throwing crap all over the place, but I think the Mudsling is a shade better, and compared to the hugger it replaced it looked to provide a bit better protection to the lower region of the rear shock.

Well I like the Ilmberger carbon hugger which does the job really well and I've had no probs with it.
