Just had an update from MachineArt Moto re the new 'sling:

"The MudSling12 GS_LC is deep in development. We are hoping to have some product by the end of the year. You are on my list and will be the first to know when one is available."

The bike has been out for over 6 months, what's taking so long. These guys need to take a leaf out of Hooton's book.:rob:D Well, maybe be a bit less mouthy!:augie:D

Why so long? :-( I do need a mudsling asap, my bike looks like a dirt bike, I'm desperate...

Will these sort the spray over the back of the rider's legs??? I rode my new GS in the rain for the first time at the weekend and my boots and the back of my legs got absolutely covered in road grime. I've never known a bike cover the rider in so much crap!

Haha, I too was thinking wtf has happened to the back of my left leg on my GSA 2 years ago..

I too can't wait for the WC mudsling..

Well the end of the year is nearly here... I was wondering if you've heard anything from them guys at all?

I can't believe There are no rear mudguards manufactured for the LC yet?

Last I heard, they will "reveal" the new mudsling in January, with deliveries starting in March

Said it before and I'll say it again.

The two small frame fill parts from your local friendly dealer work fine and cost less than £20.

I've fitted these shortly after getting my bike in May,have been out in some atrocious weather and can honestly say I've never returned with the backs of my legs saturated.

Agreed.:thumb I'm waiting for the mudsling so that I can protect the back of the bike from stone chips though. In the meantime, I'll put some helicopter tape on the swingarm to protect it.

Where can these parts be purchased from Steve? Thinking of fitting these until I see what the mudslinger is like, will then decide between mudslinger or Ilmberger carbon hugger........

Cheers

Gary

I'm too waiting for the mudsling because the least of my worries is my legs as this I can clean easily....

From your dealer. There is a thread somewhere with the part numbers but I can't find it,but your dealer will know what your asking for.

As been said - from your BMW dealer. They do work fairly well - went out for an 80 miles ride on Saturday and bike got completely ditched but the back of my legs where still relatively clean :)
