Got mine today.

Question, it seems that there are some self adhesive transparent stickers in with the gaucho. What are these for? Is it to protect the paintwork on the petrol tank from being fretted by the retaining straps?

That's the conclusionion I came to. Never actualy fitted one myself though.
PM Tim Cullis or Pikiedave (not sure I've spelt that right :o )they might be able to bring some vaued light to this.

You soon get used to riding with the muffs fitted - and they do everything claimed. Mine came the other week and the service interval I have covered since, in all weathers has proved that, (yep, racked up 6500 miles since begining of November....)
I find I only put the heaters on for 10 minutes to take the chill out of the bars, then turn them off for the rest of the day - the furry lining keeps the air replacement to a minimum, so your hands actually keep the trapped air warmed and the fact that they are sat in still air is a big help.

A really good investment if you ride through the winter - on any bike. AND they fitted over the knuckle guards, I just had to remove the added deflectors from Mr Tur-a-tic

I can almost, almost see my self at some stage possibly maybe considering the muffs but them gauchos, nah - I'd rather be cold.

I used to think that. In fact i just never got cold- simple as- and though i may be a bit on the chunky side now i wasn't particularly then. Unfortunately just cos i didn't do cold doesn't mean cold didn't do me, and now with 34 days before Kirst and myself leave for Morocco, the Dakar (spectating) and then a 12 month ride out, I'm sat here in front of the computer with my rt knee in a compression bandage waiting for the swelling to go down on my latest arthroscopy. In addition when i asked my consultant the condition of the joint he said "quite distressing for someone your age".
So my inquiry about a gaucho or even the individual/ independent whatever is in.
Henry (not quite as sore as he was two days ago) (or as grouchy! - Kirst:D)

Val

I am interested in purchasing some muffs for my 1150gs with handguards.

In addition when i asked my consultant the condition of the joint he said "quite distressing for someone your age".

When I saw the last (of many) consultants re the athritis in my feet, he asked me about my general health. I admitted that drank too much, smoked too much, and was generally completely unfit. He said no, you are in great shape generally, compared to most people with this severity of arthritis, but then they are generally all over 80.
I am 42. (for another 2 weeks at least).

Muffs and gauchos received today so will be busy fitting htem this evening! But what's this Val - the 'Ladies' Motorcycle Clothing Company' - are you trying to infer something? :P

Muffs arrived today thanks. I assume they are "ladies" muffs as from LMC Co :D

SIlly question now. Do I need to remove the handguards on my 07 GSA or do they pop over them? I'm gonna fit em thursday and a little knowledge could be a useful thing!!

Hi Mark, Glad to hear they arrived ok. :thumb2 No need to remove the handguards the muffs fit nicely over the top.

Cheers Val.

LMCco

There on, just. I had a bit of a problem getting the velcro down up. Anyone got a close pic of how they got theirs on? Havent tried them out yet, bit icy here for that and now little white bits are falling out of the sky!!

Took me about 10 minutes to fit gaucho and another 15 to fit muffs in the dark the other night. Went to meeting and they are bloody brilliant, especially the gaucho - came out of pub at 10.30 to find bike covered in frost and temperature at -6: apart from my arms was very toasty on way home and felt quite comfortable inside the gaucho. A little strange at first but definitely converted - may look odd but wish I had one of these years ago. I went to Rome last February and noticed all the scooters and bikes have these on so it must be trendy!

When I fitted mine and realised there was a large pocket inside, I felt like a marsupial. Half expected a joey to be in there.
