Hi all.
Might have seen my other post on GS seat height ( new member) and i have had some great feedback - thank you.

As i am coming from a Harley to a GS i really would like to have music on a longer ride. I have a bluetooth helmet that i use on one of my smaller bikes that links to ipod and it works ok but a bit “tinny”.
I was wondering what you guys used for any music on the bike?
Does the TFT screen help any by allowing music to be managed via earbuds etc ?

Thanks again for the help so far.

Rowle.

I’ve got a Scala Rider Bluetooth device fitted to a BMW system 6 helmet and find it more than acceptable. If you don’t want to go the Bluetooth route then something like an Autocom setup might suit?

Sena Bluetooth paired to the TFT. Phone paired to the TFT. Music playing on Spotify and controlled by the 'wonder wheel'.

If your going new, as in TFT screen then it's been answered :)

If you want music like a big Harley Electra glide type thing,

then you may want an RT. they come with a stereo option i believe ( and a ton of fairings etc)

If going non TFT GS its bluetooth or wired comms to your headset from either your phone or nav unit

Hi,
Are these sena/scala headsets easy to fit in a helmet (speakers near ears etc).

I didnt realise the tft screen could bluetooth to 2 things at once AND control your phone !
Its much better asking you guys than reading the articles

Thank you.

It can be quite a convoluted process to do the bluetooth pairing etc, there are YT videos that show you what to do.

Helmet comms can be fitted by an average person, its just time consuming and a bit fiddly.

your phone should be at least Bluetooth V4, this will allow multiple pairing at the same time

You will need to Bluetooth to a headset & Bluetooth to either your satnav or TFT screen

if you have less than BT4 i think its pair to one connection only simultaneously

Music? What a distraction! How am I going to do a rear tyre in 4k miles unless I'm really getting it on with no musical distractions?

FFS!

i play my music through the Sat Nav, It has an micro SD card in with MP3 tracks on. I pair this to a sena headset, Great sounds and loud enough . i can change tracks, play different albums etc with the wonder wheel.
You can also have Apple music on your phone, played to your headset, again adjusting and changing with the wonder wheel. They are quite a few options to be honest

I'm a complete idiot and I managed to do it!

Hi.
With a sena etc can you play music through both Your headset and the pillion ? - and also talk to the pillion ?
Sorry for all the questions

Thanks for the help.

I have a Packtalk Bold paired to the TFT and Nav 6. My phone is paired to the TFT and Nav and I listen to music and radio (Tune In Radio app) via the TFT. I am paired to a pillion and we can share music but I believe it cuts out the intercom?? Easiest thing is for your pillion to pair their phone to their headset then they can listen to their own music, then I believe the music will mute if you start a conversation.

Having had Packtalks etc I now just use Neotec 2.
Great sound quality and intercom with a second helmet is faultless.Much better than any Scala product and the speakers are great quality and go loud enough to hear music wearing ear plugs at motorways speeds.

I have used pretty much all the brands. I now use the Sena 30K, much better than any Cardo product. The connection to Bike and other riders is faultless. Sounds quality nothing compares. Volume is more than enough, Never have it on full. Comfortable and unobtrusive. The only time i touch it , is to adjust volume. And with the wheel its perfect everytime. Much better than any cardo ....
Music is great. There's always someone that will say "you shouldn't, its dangerous" The music fades in and out when talking to other riders and taking phone calls. Great piece of kit.

Yes to all.
We use two Neotec 2s fitted with Sena SRL kit and it’s brilliant .
Never done the sharing music thing but I believe you can.
The intercom is far better than any Cardo product I’ve used.
You can even leave it ‘live’ and when you stop talking the music fades back in,but can be embarrassing when you forget it’s live and start singing along !! :-)

Sena 30k

Pretty sure you can share your music and radio as well with your passenger,

you can if i recall set the mix so the audio either mutes when talking, or fades , i'd have to and load the app

As a Bluetooth hater I use wired coms . I wont listen to music as I feel its a distraction , but if you must the Starcom Digital is really clear and quality sound , also when using for pillion to rider as well as the duplex is better than the blue tooth no delay or stupid bleeps etc. Plug in chat away or listen to the Archers …..inho of course . I have tried so many BT systems most sold on here after or ebay.

Right i went out on the bike (vunerable visit ;) ) you can engage smart bluetooth audio :) basically off will mute inhead audio during a conversation, and on will lower the in head audio so you can have a conversation and listen to music/ radio at the same time :)

Have you tried any of the latest models ?
I could never go back to wired... The BT coms now are great.
