What happened to the casing to do the damage? Or was it before your time.
Flip sake, expensive oil filter removal. That must of taken a fair effort to put a screwdriver through or maybe it didn’t. Either way not good.Yeah the damage was already there, i got the engine for learning whats inside, the engine was repaired at some point because they put a screw driver through the oil filter and punctured the engine casing , so iv dropped on another engine with a dropped valve, im going to make one good engine from the two

Great idea, getting the old engine to use as a test piece.
I’m sure the newer twin cam engines don’t have that 4 bolt plate for the crankshaft where you used your puller. Not sure how they would come apart?
