Well what a machine as it was rolled off the van, great colours and a great sound in standard trip.

I was insured and taxed before the delivery van left the driveway, off I went, it has been nearly a year since I've last ridden a bike and it came straight back to me, I'm very happy with it, I know I'm in the honeymoon period but it's great.

So far my issues...

The windscreen doesn't quite shield my lid (I'm 6ft 5in) so I guess an extender will be required if any one can recommend one.

When I received the bike it had a range of fuel for 260miles... 5miles later a hazard symbol popped up saying low fuel, could this be a fuel gauge issue?

But other than this a very punchy engine, as I've read in many places the weight disappears when moving and it certainly does, sadly back in work tomorrow so a longer ride will have to wait till next week :(

The bike has come with everything too, all the luggage, tank bag, mud slinger, it's all good.

Congratulations. Have the very same. Wife and I load up take the mobile phone with Booking.com and disappear. You might change the seat though for a long trip. Tryed the latest tackle but it isnt as satisfying yet as this the last and best of the "old" beast. I dont believe we have a fuel strip on ours so maybe something more simple. How much fuel you put in when it said 5 miles left? Either way Bendy and Co will put you right. I just read em and ride!

Givi AF330 screen....... looks awful....
Adjusted free of charge.:D
I too am your height and find that the aftermarket screens that I have tried do not push the airflow over my head and are little better than the original. My solution is to have the standard screen in the most upright position: this puts the wind blast on my visor which I can live with because it's a motorbike not a car. The lower positions put the flow and turbulence on my upper chest and neck which I can't live with because it buffets my head. So my advice would be have a fiddle with the standard screen before parting with cash.

It's not a fuel strip on these bikes. I had to have the float unit replaced on mine, not a big job and obviously should be sorted at no cost to you. Enjoy the bike, looks great and is a real all rounder.

Looks very nice too Dave!

I moved over to a minter 2011 model from 10yrs on the 1150GSA and fell for it immediately - much easier 'bike to ride too.

Screen - yes, although 5'10", I found the standard screen was unbearable so fit one of those flippy things on top - a few adjustments and job done!

Notice you have no mud sling (other brands on the market) for the rear wheel - I'd definitely recommend something in the hole to stop the shite getting where you don't want it.

Enjoy it:thumb2

thers is a mudsling fitted :)

Great looking bike - I fitted a Wunderlich adjustable screen extender to mine - works well for me but I'm not as tall as you.

the last two days in work have been awful thinking that my bike is sat at home and weve had two beautiful days and ive only put 15miles on it, tomorrow ill be taking it over the mountains for a jaunt before the night shift, I can not wait!

Ive looked into the TT screen extenders, they look good and seem to have good reviews so ill keep my eye out for one.

As I always do when I buy a new bike I need a new jacket so im flogging some of my older gear on ebay and im going to treat myself to a KLIM jacket! happy days.
