So the rear crankseal arrived last week and was installed ready for the crank cases going together

Only to find that the new big end bolts are the wrong ones .......FFS

Yeah,bolts have arrived

Which means I can bolt the crankcases together

Oil pumps in ,new seals on internal pipework

New oil pressure relief valve and spring

Timing chain and gears

 

[mikeyboy]

New flywheel bolts,front casing on

 

[mikeyboy]

New piston rings and gudgeon pin circlips

 

[mikeyboy]

Pistons in and barrels refiited

Heads next

Clutch next

 

[Bendy toy]

Obviously the cylinder head is much better flowing than an old BL A Series, but the basics are the same. And the Beemer will be compromised for manufacturing purposes. How about some David Vizard type mods to the head and valves? He says lots about how the valve seat and valve head affect part open gas flow.

Search "david vizard" on YouTube. Here's one but there are others. All with little gems of tips and information.
