My new R1300GS Megamoto

I only have info regarding sensors for standard GS/GSA option wheels, not wheel size conversion. For the actual numbers It will depend on what wheels you fit. there are different sensors for wire and alloys and pre 2022 vs post 2022.
I have 24 standard GS,I'm fitting wheels from a 15 rtw. Although from reading through here it seems like the older tpms sensors won't register on our newer GS?
Although Reggie claims to be using sensors from an older 1200rs,so I'm a bit confused

It may be that an older RS already has the LDL sensors, I really don't know that. But I do know that the older Schrader sensors won't work with the 2024 GS.
The LDL sensor and parts needed for the alloy wheels on a 24 GS are:

Sensor: 36 31 7 106 019
Hollow screw to attach sensor to valve assembly: 36 31 7 106 018
Valve assembly: 36 31 7 693 061
They're different on the wire wheels.

You will need to look at it to see if these fit the 2015 RS wheels.

The sensors don't come with the code numbers so you will need a tool to activate and read these so you can input manually. To be honest it may be possible to instal the wheels one at a time and run it to wake it up, before installing the other wheel. I did it using an Autel TPMS TS 408 device to get the numbers.

So this sensor looks to fit the 19 and on r1250 wheels, although the r1200 wheel fits on the 1250 model so I'm assuming the sensor will mount just the same.
I am a tad confused because I also see this part listed on the parts fiche 36 31 7 108 983 which is listed as ldl, and fits the same models... BUT, looks different and is slightly more expensive. Is that perhaps the sensor for the rear wheel on these bikes?

I’ll ask Reg to join in.

I haven’t a clue. I defo have the same sensors that I had on my 2017 1200 Rallye, 2020 40 year 1250, 21 1250 Adventure and 2024 R1300gs. The wheels have been painted a few times but the sensors have never been changed.

Woah, so they have to be non ldl if they came from a 2017 originally.
And you have no problems with the tire pressure?
Is it active tire pressure or just a static value ?

Standard BMW TPMS. I bought another set from BmW. Hope this helps.

It all depends on the RDC module. I don't know what it is on the 1300 GS. But on the 1250 GS before mid 2022 it was a separate unit that was made by Schrader. From then on all 1250GS and GSA's had a RDC that was integrated into the keyless module, this is LDL. The 2 types are not compatible with each other. The sensors look different.

Schrader left, LDL right. This is the case for alloy wheels.

If reg has wheels from a 17 with sensors of the same year, maybe is local dealer did some kind of magic to make them work

The only way is to have Schrader sensors for a Schrader RDC and LDL sensors for a LDL RDC. I learnt the hard way when I tried to fit some alloy wheels from an older GS to my 2023 1250 GSA. No go without putting LDL sensors in.

If #Flipfly is reading, he may respond with the bike they came off, that's who I got them from.

Test fitted my 17 inch wheels today at my local dealer. Everything (nearly) fits straight in. Just need a 2mm shim to the rear wheel and a 1250 ABS ring. Wasn’t sure about the Trophy but I think these photos have changed my mind.

Will decide what colour and spec to order over the weekend for 1st March delivery.

Out of interest, how does this impact handling? Is it for cosmetics?
