I took delivery af my new triple black recently and have made some modifications.
Ive had the aluminium bits at the front painted black at great expense from a paint specialist who used to paint rolls royces. Ive had the spokes black chromed at great expense by a black chrome specialist who used to black chrome the titanium bolts on the underside of stealth bombers.

Ive got a problem though. Through the engine oil sight glass, the oil appears a light golden colour.
Is there a company who make black oil for the GS ?
I know that if I dont change the oil for a while, it will turn black and match the rest of the bike along with my black tour x helmet and black rukka suit, and the whole ensemble will be perfect, but the dealer insists it must be changed regularly. Is this neccessary? I dont know much about the mechanics of a bike. In fact, the dealer was most annoyed when I had my front brake discs black powdered coated. I replied to him that I only ever use the back brake which I had left uncoated because its hidden a bit more than the front ones. I'm not stupid you know!!

This means that I cant show face at the Ace cafe and my other regular biker haunts until just before a service, where everything will be colour perfect.

I'm sure other 'tripplers' are in the same mind as myself, and maybe we can bulk buy some black oil, or have some commisioned.

I have included a photo of my new bike. It was taken at night to show the full extent of my dilemma.

Looking really good - hope you find some black oil soon :D

Alternatively you could stick some black tape over the site glass and just remove it when you need to check the oil ;)

I'm sure touratech have just started work on a black powder coated site glass protector, I hear it will be on sale in the new year priced around the 400 quid mark..

Ya daft old bassa!

When you rock up at the "caff", just casually lay your bike down on the LEFT hand side, so covering the sightglass up. If you make some very tired "Just got back from riding around the world" noises, people will think you are such a hero that they won't believe for an instant it's a ruse

Alternatively, stick one of these over it.
