I would be very wary about using nail varnish remover, it removes cellulose based paint.
you haven't got excited and jizzed on it have you?
tried gt 85 and white spirit, seems to do it then it comes back a few seconds later
I had similar stains on my 12GSA rims after cleaning with TFR.
I cleaned them with black boot polish and away they went!
You need something with a black content to put pigment back into the affected areas.
Buy a tin of Kiwi and thank me later!

....might well be brake or carb cleaner? I managed to get some on my Norton engine casing and is still visible

Use WD40 on a microfiber cloth and that will remove it. You have to work at it though.
I had similar on mine but got rid eventually. The black anodised matt finish is good but will react to most of the above cleaners, Muc-Off, GT85, etc etc.
Stick to a quality shampoo only to clean these wheels and then dry with a micro fibre cloth and they will be fine

Once you have removed all the marks it would probably be a good idea to give the wheels a good coating with a quality car wax to add some extra protection.
Hopefully it will stop it happening again.

just about to try the wd40
It won't work ..... for more than about 5 minutes anyway.
I've said it in a post above and I'll say it again, you need to get the black pigment back into the surface.
Black boot polish is the answer.
Or ........ you could keep spraying WD40 at it hoping for a miracle
I thought that, any silicon or oil based spray won't work for more than 10 mins
I fear those marks won't fully ever come out, without 'cutting' the paint

Kiwi protect and shine doesn't work . I'll try the old fashioned tin stuff when I get some tomorrow
