as i wasn't happy with the security of the standard bmw nav 4 cradle
i bit the bullet and ordered the TT lockable bracket, especiall designed
to take the nav 4 cradle.
set about fitting it today only to find the instructions as much good
as a snickers bar to someone with a nut allergy.
but, it all looke straight forward and it was but.
they claim that it will fit onto the bmw adapter, and yes it will
but not with the m35 bolts that come with it. they are just too short,
anybody else had the same issue or is it just me?
its part no. 01 065 0560 0

cheers paul.

i dont see the problem with popping it off and putting it in your pocket when needed TBH.

my mate had 1 of these brackets.... until some kind soul loosened the quick release on the back and then ripped it off the mounting bar, together with the GPS.

dont be fooled into a false sense of security - remember locks only stop honest people

fitted.

Mine fitted perfectly ... it's a cinch to use :thumb

now fitted, just a wee bit fiddly, 7ml nuts and fat fingers dont mix.
just out of interest though, i used the TT spacers as i figured if they took the trouble to include them, but it was prob the fiddliest bit of fitting,
could/should i have just used the slightly smaller spacers that were already on the cradle.

Tell me about it!! I droppped one of those black spacer feckers, despite covering all the area with cloth. 2 hours later, with all the panels off and a torch I finally found it sitting quite happily down on the RH Cylinder tight up against the crankcase. Black on black:blast

Still now it's on I'm a happy bunny. I only leave mine in the cradle for petrol stops or when I'm in a supermarket car park. Otherweise I take it out.
