Nav 5 not charging in cradle

Have cleaned the contacts. It does work intermittently but getting worse

any ideas?

Intermittent fault in the power supply between wherever you power the cradle from and the cradle itself.

Intermittent fault in the GPS device.

Power supply and GPS device both fine, cradle goosed.

Take your pick.

Actually it does charge but I have to switch it on manually first - usually doesn't power up from cradle

I think you need to start this thread again, maybe with a new title.

PS If the batttery in your Navigator V is very flat, it may well not power up instantly in the cradle. Once it's alive, it should then charge normally, just as yours now seems to be doing.
