On the latest GS and GSA bikes the view of the rev counter is at least partially blocked by the sat nav. I'm only 5'10" and it blocks top third from view so guess if you're a six footer yo cannot see the entire top half of rev counter. What is it with BMW that they can't get a simple thing like that right. They have supposedly put a blue rim around it to make it more visible and then they block it with the Nav !!!

I think all of us will agree with your observations. Lots of other ergonomic flaws ...(i) strangely cramped for your legs (given it's a "big"bike )

If you are over 6 foot like myself, you need to adjust/ tilt the satnav base mount higher anyway. Doing that allows most of the revcounter to be visible. But, yes it is not perfect ergonomics in dashboard terms, but they are great in body trms. If you guys think a GSA is cramped, you clearly havent sat on a K1600.

Just what I was thinking. I normally look at either the road, or the speedo when riding. Unless I'm boiling an egg, then I look at the saucepan, as I like to watch the bubbles.

Not running a new engine above 5k will cause corrosion, as the engine won't get hot enough for the water to evaporate.

Oh wow thanks Steve as hadn't thought about that. Good idea though as when you twist it up it increases the glare from the sun so then you can't see the other two thirds either. You're brilliant

Take the bracket off and elongate the holes, i'm 6'3" and can see all but the top 1/4".

You don't need to see it, when the needle gets around to the red bit, the engine cuts and that's the time to hook in the next gear...

I might glance at the rev counter about once a ride....more for idle amusement than mission critical info...

just what i thought. Anyway, I am 6'2" and have n issues. tilt the nav mount and away you go. Now stop looking for something to moan about and go enjoy yer bike FFS
