I have the Nav 5. In anticipation of an upgrade to the 6 and putting it up for sale can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be a 13 amp Garmin charger in the box or is it just USB or on the bike charge?

Only asking because I cant find one. Remember I had one on the Zumo 550

I would but I cant charge it :P

What is the issue with the 6 then?

Good clear screen on the 6, but plenty of failures

Nav V is pretty robust and will fit to the same mount as the 6.

But in answer to the original question, USB cable only

There is nothing wrong with the VI or the V, I have and use both.

I had a failure with a IV and, naturally enough, problems with the super duper ‘new’ 660 when it was first released. Bods, including me, still love the 660 and I still love my old IV. The three was great in its way, whilst the Quest was a big step-up from the PDA’s we loved, too.

Original question ...no 13 amp plug just a usb lead like most things these days

I have had the 5 and now have the 6. The main difference is the screen and internal memory , both are great navs, I’ve had no issues with any of them. Go for it

Best Nav i had was an old Dell PDA with an external GPS antenna.

Tom Tom on an SD card, and FREE speedcam stuff

I managed to get hold of a GPS compact flash card a few years ago to go with it.

Works a treat, the downside no BT & the fecker eats CR232 batteries, which entails a whole reboot and reinstall of all SW when it dies

I would but I cant charge it :P

I main charge mine using the USB connection provided with the Nav V and a 3 pin plug with a USB port
