NAV VI received.

Cheers buddy, just spoke with Nick and placed my order.

Where the Nav V breaks down is the communication with iPhone etc for music

This issue is supposed to be resolved for NAV VI

If navigation is your only use then the NAV V will be much better value.

eBay will be flooded with fives anytime

Great! Enjoy it.

Nav VI is an improvement over previous model. Better wireless compatibility and more navigation related features.

Having similar issues with my Nav VI. Think I'm going to return it and wait a few months for QC issues to subside.

Garmin support are beyond useless so good luck...

Well, a full day of e-mails between Garmin and myself an we got to "try a factory reset" , that doesn't work, so both units returned to BMW for a refund, back to my nav v that's just a useless.

I got "pair your phone and headset again" and then "we have exhausted all troubleshooting". I wanted to send bluetooth debug logs for someone in their engineering dept to look at. I finally got through to these people and after six month of sending logs I got "pair your phone and headset again"

There will be a software update soon enough. If you take it back, then buy another one later, how do you know it won't be from the same batch?

There was an update last night which solved some of the iPhone issues with mine

Haven't seen the menu for that yet, but haven't played around with it much so far. I'll be getting a new cam soon and have been waiting to see what the NAV VI will do first.

Might be, but shouldn't be. At least if it is there should be new soft/firmware and it will work as intended. At least in the meantime it will free me up to buy akra titanium headers :D

It has a split screen for two "buttons" one for stool photos and one for motion picture.

Exactly the problem I'm having. Spoke to Garmin UK, they must be BMW trained as they "have not heard of that problem before ". They had no idea and sent me a standard work sheet that essentially tells me to unpair all, then pair up again. I did so, no improvement at all. They were very apologetic for not being able to help. So that makes it ok then.
As someone has already mentioned, exchanging the unit may not guarantee a fix. I will rely on Lind to work something out.
Yours more in hope than expectation..........

Picking my unit up tomorrow. Currently have the Nav IV so looking forward to the improvements!

Intend to take it straight home while the bikes in for the alarm to be installed, hook it up for any outstanding updates and then give it a whirl.

I've £200 credit from the mothership to put towards something so I'll use it towards this.

Picked my unit up and v pleased with it

Connected it to my SRC and iphone.

Plays music from Spotify without issue. Used the wheel to skip tracks etc.

Decisions decisions on what to display where.

Made and received a call.

These Nav devices complete the package for any touring motorcycle and I'll declare that I couldn't cope without my NavV and its fantastic integration. HOWEVER, NavVi lacks enough features to excite me: Garmin are already way ahead with their in car Nuvi cams that offer, as well as the usual navigation stuff, a forward facing accident cam (and it's adjustable), voice commands (maybe NavVI HAS THIS ?), collision warnings (proximity sensor) and lane warnings (the latter two would be hell on a motorcycle). Come on Garmin, we should at least be getting a forward facing camera now on Nav VI. Image quality is still crap with all accident cameras and I have yet to see one that's good enough to read number plates, but hey, it would still portray the event, even through the screen.
