I have a BMW Navigator IV (it was on the bike when I bought it) and would like to be able to use my headphones with it but the BMW mount blocks the headphone socket.
I believe that the 2nd plug on the wire harness is a mono audio output which links in with some other BMW models audio systems. Can anyone tell me if there is some sort of adaptor which can plug into this second connector to provide a headphone socket?
“Why not use the Bluetooth!” I hear you say. Well I’ve tried two different Bluetooth receivers, one Nokia and one Sony Erickson and both have drastically reduced the volume over a direct connection to the point they are almost useless. Also when on the move with the Nokia one the sound pulsed on and off so you only got little snippets of it.
Another option would be to buy a Zumo 660 mount and use that with the Navigator IV to get access to the headphone socket, but before I fork out for one does anyone know if they are compatible?
I wish I hadn't sold my 2820....
Any help would be appreciated.
