My Navigator 11 has a patch of condensation in the middle of the screen after 11 months of minimum use - Has anyone experience of BMW/Garmin warranty with this problem?

Try taking the CF card out and putting the GPS is a warm dry place (airing cupboard) for a day or so.

It cured exactly this problem in mine.

Not an uncommon problem in this weather with cold outside and warm GPS internal components. If the airing cupboard trick won't sort it, give Garmin a call:

0870-8501242 (ask for Mark Timms)

If it's a BMW Nav II, don't bother contacting Garmin, they will only refer you to BMW.

Mine does it. The airing cupboard trick does work but it comes back sometimes depending on the weather conditions.

Mine has also gained some strange 'white-ish' marks on the lower protion of the screen. It's about 18 months old, BMW say they will replace it if the marks don't disappear before the two year warranty is up.

Thanks guys its going in the airing cupboard tonight - Re the warranty I cannot find reference to the warranty period in the Garmin bumff (sp) - got it with the beemer 11 months ago - will it have a 2 year warranty?

Yes.

The warranty will run for two years from when you bought it or the previous owner (it's transferable).

(I contacted Garmin about mine at first, they said they don't cover, BMW do).
