NEC Show anti glare polish

I've just posted a new thread about this pink stick and then found this thread which is about a year old - I fell fowl big time as I bought £20 worth (6x sticks) at the NEC show after I saw their demo. Feel quite angry now :anger:

... The only things I've found totally effective against a fogging visor are ...

... Pro-Grip, Fog City or Pinlock visor inserts

... For the outside of a visor Mr Sheen is as good as anything, but even that's probably not worth the bother :rob

I`ve got a Pinlock for my visor and it`s fantastic. I`ve got a couple of those pink sticks and they do work on my specs in the cold and the rain;)

Don`t bother with anything on the outside of my visor. Just keep it fairly clean the rain runs off in the wind:thumb

Like many here I have tried everything and the best bar none is my K1200 LT screen !!!!!

I've got one of those pink sticks too. Bought from a very nice lady at the Ally Pally show a few years ago. Didn't work on my glasses (because they have a coating on them) and is next to useless on everything but the bathroom mirror and life is too short for worrying about that - anyway, I prefer not to catch sight of myself emerging from the shower.

Got a special little bottle of magic glue too. Has to be kept in the fridge but can instantly stick anything to anything else. Doesn't work either! :blast

Best thing I've ever got from the bike shows is the stuff they put on your boots - little tub and a sponge. That works. :thumb2

works for me but only when applied dry, put plenty on the rag, smear all over visor, inside and out and then take a clean section of rag to buff clear.

You will then see the effects.

I found applying it wet just made a serious mess of my own lid and some of my friends lids who I were trying to convince to my new method. :blast

Works great when applied dry in a decent quantity.

Not sure the demo they give in the show is massively fair.

If I were you, next time take in your lid, ask them to apply it to your visor and do the wet test on the stand. If it work then its your technique, if it doesnt work, please video and upload for some proof and a laugh. :thumb

Cat crap, soap etc is sooooooooooo last century.
The future's bright and fog free, the future's Pinlock:D:thumb2

Was gonna post the same I have a pinlock thing, worked wonders for 4 years now and always polish my helmet with mr sheen :augie , stick your head in the breeze and water just beads off the visor.

How are you meant to get the lid off? :D

SODDIT!!

Right! You're coming with me to the next Ally Pally show. You'll earn your entry fee (and a couple of beers) by stopping me buying anything from the little stalls with people demonstrating stuff.

You have to save me from myself! :blast

Saw this lot at the dirt bike show a couple of months back, a mate of mine like you lot had bought some but couldnt get it to work... I'm pretty sure he was offered his money back if he'd had the stuff on him...

I'd suggest those of you that are going to Ally Pally, or what ever the next show is, remember to take yours back and have a chat with him - in front of a big audiance they are much more likely to consider a refund than any other way...

Mean but satisfying, mean but satisfying :D

The guy selling it wasn't Nigerian and asking for bank account details by any chance? :augie

I don't use Mr Sheen I use Pledge - used it for years. Disperses rain, stops glare at night and bugs wash off easy. Give the outside a coat every morning. On the inside I have always used simple Anti-Fog spray and that’s always worked for me to. Small bottle lasts years. That’s on my Arai.

In my other job we use Schuberth flip ups (yes yuk not my choice of lid) but the visors are the dog’s danglies. They come with an “Active coating” outside and in and mist up is just never an issue in any conditions. I don’t know if any other type of helmet make comes with this. I wish they did...they are excellent and just deal with visor issues full stop.

Don’t know how it works but it does. We are warned not to apply any detergents, sprays etc. and to only wash with clean water.

Renapur I have to agree on that one but Ludicrously expensive for beeswax and a few other ingredients BUT it does work! and I still have my tin 2 years later albeit only half full but it works on any leather stuff

My last tin lasted about 4 years but I couldn;t find a supplier happily they're online now as per the link in thier name above
