Need urgent car help please

Take the Wheel Off and use a BIG crowbar between the bottom of the suspension arm and top of the track rod end

Put pressure on the crowbar and force the taper into the joint and then either you do it or get some help to tighten or loosen the nut!

If you are removing to replace the track rod end just use a grinder and split the nut across the middle and it doesn't matter if you bugger the taper if you are replacing it! I mean the track rod end

i used a bottle jack to apply pressure on it downwards and worked for me, another time it was a s simple as using an air gun on it as it has the speed to snap the lock its on

Had the same issue with the track ends on the Impreza. I cut through the nut and replaced with new track rob end. Mark that one before removal so you can fit the new one in approximately the same place.

I am back at home if you want that splitter. (Terenure)

Ended up bringing it in to af motors in tallaght. They replaced track rod end for me for 70 quid all in. Seemed like a decent price. Cheers for help
