on me 6th gs (keep stating im keeping this one):augie anyway running bike in as normal, but the tyres battlewings are s-ite in the wet,any overlap on tarmac and the back end likes a bit of a squirm about,(trail riding skills apply)will have to wait for a dryish road to see what they are like if still the same back to the old and trusty tourances, also the petrol range is a little low 355 to the tank:eek: maybe improve once run in my 07 gsa was capable of 420 miles to tank anybody else got issues with these tyres

Battlewings are the first set of tyres I've taken off a bike before they're worn. 1000miles was all I could take.......utter shite. Put some tourances on and enjoy the bike :thumb2

tyres

Hi JC,

Battle wings on mine as well when i got it last year, did not think that they would ever be as good as the tourances that I have been used to.

But 12 months on and I must admit that they are really ok.

Have done 7000 mile and are past their best and starting to square off, have had no problems with grip or how the bike handles.

You will be lucky if youv'e got yours scrubbed in yet:augie

Stick with them untill we get some warm dry roads and I think you will quite happy with them.

KR

Is it a weight thing? As I've got them on a GS that does my daily 80 mile round trip commute and I've had no trouble with them in the wet, or the dry. It could be the extra lard an Advantage carries.

Or maybe I just ride like me grandad!

re tyres

you are probaly right kenny i will give them a try in the dry if in any doubt they will be binned got a rep to keep up with my ex geordie comrades:augie they will most likely be knackered for my eagerly awaiting french alp trip in july and i just so happen to have a 500 mile old set of tourances just right for the terrain in the alps :eek:kenny where was the setting for the last picture you posted with the 30 degrees temp showing cheers jc

battlewings do not like cats i's, change in road surface and any poor road surface I can't wait to change them gsa 1500 miles jjh

temp

high temps when in bosnia, heading from Mostar to Dubrovnik,

I will take any unwanted battlewings off anybody who is unhappy with them:)

battlewings

No probs with my battlewings on my 08 GS, 3,000 miles and great in the wet and dry.

I find BW awesome in dry weather, but they can give nasty surprises in the wet, esp. over change in road surface. Average mileage at best.
