New Akro Can

7,000 miles later and I still love the sound it makes. The finish is top notch and I'm sure it'll shrug off numerous winters. Based on the number of replies to this thread, it looks like it's gonna be far from rare.

Got mine stuck into a remus Y section, certainly makes it feel faster.
I had a go with the baffles out, I couldn`t really tell any difference, apart from the noise and the engine seems to rattle a bit more, not as smooth.
Took the bird for a 30 ride on the back and she was complaining(as usual) but this time about the excess noise and poping so i put the baffle back

you guys seen...?

The full Akra 2 into 2 system? technical pornography, i can tell you. over a grand, though. Also, being fussy (and not likely to be able to afford one this decade...), it'd look even better etched than with the black and yellow stickers on. See the Akrapovic website for pics and (very hilly!) dyno graphs.

Patrick.

Oh boy am I a happy camper. Popped into see Simon at SLM yesterday and he and a colleague slipped on my new BMW approved Akrapovic exhaust. It's baffle out bliss from now on and the GS no longer sounds like a bag of spanners in a washing machine.

Walked into SLM on Saturday, listened to the can on a 12gs and purchased one they had in stock. :D
Fitted the can and removed the baffle  :D :D
Serious bit of kit, transforms rider and bike alike :thumb
Lot's of pops and crackles but no whistles :D

Only got it fitted yesterday and noticed the "whistle" when the throttle was closed, fitted a round headed faring bolt in the hole and it's disappeared.

Have to agree it's a fantastic can. :thumb

For those using the BMW Akra can without the baffle fitted have you found it produces a "whistling" noise from the bolt hole left in the tail spout?

I have heard one fitted to a 12GS, but I didn't hear any whistling, except from me........... :D :thumb

My BOS can does that with the baffle out and bolt hole left open :thumb

Thanks, I tried that but was alarmed at the amount of force required & discontinued my efforts. And yes, I had the bolt out........

no whistles, only crack, snap and pop......

Never ceases to amaze me why some BMW Motorrad dealers don't bother reading all the new product information they all get sent........why should customers have to tell THEM part numbers..........?

Anyhow, when I get into the office tomorrow I'll post the correct part number......or you can simply order from us...£495.00 inc VAT & shipping anywhere in the UK......from stock!!

Cheers
